Electronic Judicial Domicile (DJE): New Implementation Stage and Mandatory Registration<\/span><\/h3>\n

The Electronic Judicial Domicile (DJE), provided for in art. 246 of the CPC and regulated by the National Council of Justice (CNJ) through Resolution No. 455\/2022 and Ordinance No. 29\/2023, modified by Ordinance 129\/2023, advances to a new phase aimed at its effective implementation.<\/p>\n

The DJE is a platform that will centralize the procedural communications of companies across the country, in all spheres, replacing traditional physical subpoenas, as well as, in the future, electronic ones made in the Official Gazette of the Union. It is expected that, once operational, the DJE will speed up and reduce bureaucracy in the processing of legal processes, including labor ones.<\/p>\n

We highlight that the DJE, intended for subpoenas in legal proceedings, should not be confused with the Labor Electronic Domicile (DET), which is used for communications only in the labor administrative sphere and is already in operation.<\/p>\n

After the mandatory registration of financial institutions with the DJE in 2023, CNJ Ordinance No. 46\/2024 established a schedule for the compulsory registration of other private companies, including micro and small companies that do not have an electronic address registered in the integrated system of the National Network for the Simplification of Registration and Legalization of Companies and Businesses (Redesim). The deadline for this action began on March 1st and lasts for 3 months.<\/p>\n

Thus, as stipulated in the Ordinance, legal entities governed by private law have until May 30, 2024<\/strong> to register with the DJE, under penalty of being compulsorily registered by the CNJ based on data from the Federal Revenue, leading to possible penalties and missed deadlines. procedural.<\/p>\n

We therefore recommend that companies register on the DJE platform, accessible here<\/a>, formalizing their virtual judicial address to receive procedural communications, summonses and subpoenas in all judicial spheres.
